raddlesnakes asked: The 70mm cut of 2001 was incredible. It was the first time I was able to watch it as a pure film rather than a sci-fi screenplay. So very good.
also i really don’t think 2001 needs improved effects
one of the most stunning things is that almost timeless feel to them, something cgi will never have, not because of a fault of it, but because it advances so rapidly, leaving earlier versions looking dated only 5 or 10 years later
